On the Emotions: Contemporary Theory Reading Group

Organizer: Marianne Noble

978-0-8223-4776-7-frontcover

This interdisciplinary group will meet twice a semester to discuss new scholarship in affect theory. Each time we will read one or two short essays from The Affect Theory Reader edited by Melissa Gregg and Gregory J. Seigworth (Duke University press, 2009), and discuss how these approaches might affect our research. This group is focused on discovery and exploration, so beginners are welcome. The only prerequisite is interest in the study of the emotions.
