This page is our EagleCaching Project: in celebration of our reading of Lyn Hejinian’s book-length poem Happily, we recorded the opening pages and post them here for you.
What is happiness?
And could one investigate the nature of happiness through poetic form?
In the poem Hejinian plays on the etymological root “hap” that links happiness and happenstance and asks:
“Is happiness the name for our (involuntary) complicity with chance?”
Take a chance and listen!
